The York City Ice Arena is the place to hold your next party, meeting,
basket bingo or other event.
With Party Rooms, Classroom & Community Room we can accommodate
small meetings & large banquets.
Community Room Rental
The ice arena will provide tables and chairs, sound system access.
Snack Bar Area, Bingo Equipment, & Bar Service are offered at
additional cost
Cost:
$100 Security Deposit:
In Addition to Room Rental Fees. Due at the time of booking the
room. Is returned to the customer 1 month following the event as
long as there is no damage and the Room Rental Policies are followed.
If the event is cancelled any time before the event date, the Customer
will forfeit their deposit.
1-4 Hours: $350
5 Hours +: $400
Non-Profit and Rink Organization Rate:
1-4 Hours: $250
5 Hours +: $300
To receive the non-profit rate, the York City Ice Arena will need
documentation with the proof of the organization’s non-profit
status.
*These Rates also apply to Basket Bingo Events
$100 Added for Wedding Receptions who request to have access
to the Room the night before the Wedding for set-up and decorating.
The time allotted for set-up and decorating would be 7-11PM
$100 Added to the Room Rental Fee for Events Continuing
Past the Following Rink Operating Hours- Sunday-Thursday: 11:00PM
or Friday and Saturday: 12:00AM
Public Events
The York City Ice Arena, RMSC, and YCRC reserve the right to request
a Security Plan for Certain events that are open to the public.
Events for The Chiller- Live Band Shows & DJ Parties:
A Security Plan is necessary. The Community Room Pricing and Guidelines
apply for these events. An additional form, The Chiller Rental Guidelines
Sheet is Required for these events. You can find this form below.
Community Room Rental Includes:
- Use of the room- 60’ x 100’
- Room Occupancy= 650 people
- The Number of Guests the room can hold for a specific event
will vary depending on set-up
- 45 tables and 280 chairs
- 8 Round Tables
- Access to upstairs bathrooms
- Use of the Sound System. Those utilizing the sound system are
welcomed to have a band or DJ. The party utilizing the system
will need to sign for the usage and will be responsible for missing
components or damage
- (1) Billiard Table. Billiard Table may not be moved and is
coin-operated
- Set-up will be the responsibility of the organization or person
renting the room. Following the event, the room may be left set-up.
- Use of Stage- Platform Risers. The risers may be moved by the
Customer, but they must be returned to their original location
and set up by the Customer.
Food and Beverage:
Use of Upstairs Snack Bar: $100
Fee will be waived for those requiring Bar Service, Bingo Equipment
and for Non-Profit Organizations.
• Includes use of refrigerators, microwave, counters, cooler
for ice, electrical outlets, coffee machine, soft-pretzel warmer,
hot dog roller. No one is permitted to help themselves to our products,
soda, condiments or paper products.
• Bring your own food or have an outside caterer.
• Those selling or providing food and beverage for events
that are open to the general public or providing/selling food for
events with an admission charge will need to purchase a Food Vendor
Permit from the City of York. We can provide you with more information
regarding Food Permits.
Bar Service:
Have a Cash Bar, Open Bar or a Combination of the Two
The ice arena has an Event Liquor License that allows alcohol to
be served during any event held in the Community Room. Alcohol may
not be brought in from outside. The alcohol will be purchased through
the ice arena. Alcohol orders are needed 2 weeks prior to the event.
Rink Must Provide Bartender: $10 per hour Charged to Customer
Use of Bingo Equipment: $150
Those holding Bingo events are required to purchase a Bingo License
and Small Games of Chance License if applicable. We can provide
you with information on acquiring these licenses.
Security Deposit: $100
Must be Cash, Money Order, Certified Check or Corporate
Check. No Personal Checks or Credit Cards will be accepted.
The Security Deposit is needed to Book the Room. This is in addition
to the Room Rental Fees. This deposit will be returned to the customer
if the room is left in the state in which it was found and there
is no damage to the room. If there is damage, or room policies are
not followed, we will keep the $100 in addition to the room rental
fee. Damage in excess of $100 will be added to the bill.
Payment: Full payment for the event, including
room rental, bingo equipment and bar service will be due prior to
the event. If full payment is not received, the room will not be
accessible for usage on the day of the event.
Cancellation Policy: If notice of cancellation
is received 2 weeks prior to the event, there will be no charge,
but we will keep the deposit. If less than 2 weeks notice is received,
a cancellation charge of 50% of the room rental fee will be charged
and we will keep the security deposit. Cancellation notice must
be given to Jen Patterson at 717.848.1084, ext 109.

Sound Equipment: The Rink can supply microphones,
cords and stands. The # available will depend on the usage of these
items for Community Room Events. You will be responsible to sign
for these items and will be responsible to pay for damaged or lost
items.
Room Set-Up: Room will be clean with the standard
Birthday Party Set-up with tables, chairs and trash cans provided.
Additional Chairs and/or Tables will be provided in the room based
on the estimated attendance.
The party renting the room may move the tables and chairs for their
desired set-up.
AFTER EVENT: The Party Renting the room will need to provide
minimal clean-up: dispose of large trash items and all decorations;
clean any messes made from food, wipe down tables and sweep up any
trash from the event.
Payment for Room Rental is Due Before the Day of the Event
or There Will Be No Access to the Room.
